At Bruin Algorithmic Traders, we are a community of UCLA students who are extremely passionate about the intersection of finance, mathematics, and curiosity. Our mission is to best prepare our members with the skills and knowledge they need to break into and navigate the world of Quantitative Finance. 

Founded in 2025 by Simon Lee, Thomas Lockhart, and Nathan Charron, our club has grown into a collaborative environment where members can pursue different avenues of the industry. We have teams in Engineering, Strategy, Portfolio Management, Research, and Development, in turn enabling members to develop mastery in their desired career path. Through workshops, guest speakers, and our own portfolio, we are able to not only learn about trading strategies but also see the tangible effects of them. 

We welcome individuals who are not only curious about the mechanics of the markets but also eager to engage in deep, complex thinking and innovative problem solving. We aim to recruit members who are both qualitatively and quantitatively gifted in order to foster an environment with intellectual rigor and a collaborative spirit. A space where members can challenge each other's ideas, develop sophisticated strategies, and contribute to long-standing projects is what we aim to offer.
